Jean Pyerre fails test with Whitecaps B in Vancouver, leaving player with uncertain future

Exclusively, Território confirmed that Jean Pyerre, former Grêmio and Avaí player in Brazil, was not approved in the testing period he carried out at Whitecaps “B.”

Collaborated: Celso Oliveira

The informed our editorial team that the Brazilian player trained with the “B” squad for three weeks. However, it did not result in the player signing a contract to play in (MLS).

Jean Pyerre is no longer in Vancouver.

Territorio MLS found that decisions about signings were not the responsibility of coach Vanni Sartini, but instead of director Axel Schuster and other staff. Coincidence or not, the Whitecaps announced the signing of another striker in the last few hours. Junior Holiett, from the country’s national team and who was at Reading, in the Premier League. He is now available for the Italian coach.

In recent days, Jean Pyerre closed his Instagram account. Interestingly, this comes after the report from Territorio MLS last week, which stated that the player still maintained “highlights” about the city of Vancouver. Our team continues to try contacting the player’s representatives to find out if he is in Brazil or heading towards some other destination.

Who is Jean Pyerre?

Known as Jean Pyerre plays as an attacking midfielder. He is currently without a club, having left Grêmio in early 2023.

On 30 January 2022, Jean Pyerre was loaned to Süper Lig club Giresunspor.  Shortly after passing medical examinations at his new club, it was identified that the player had testicular cancer, which forced him into early retirement while returning to Brazil.
