After a soft start, with Charlotte FC scoring two goals with Ben Bender in the first half, the New York Red Bulls came back strong from halftime and saved a point at the Red Bull Arena with goals by Dante Vanzeir and Cameron Harper.
Now the club sits in 13th place with 20 points, three less than DC United, the last team in the Eastern Conference playoff zone, and will have another chance to close this gap next Saturday (24) against Atlanta United at the Red Bull Arena, ending a series of three matches at the once known as The Fortress”.
Currently, the teams sit outside the playoff line, with Charlotte in 10th while the New York Red Bulls are 13th.
In total, Troy Lesesne’s boys had 19 attempts to find the back of Charlotte’s net, but only six ended up going toward Kirstijan Kahlina.
