Rafael Navarro, the Brazilian forward currently playing for the Colorado Rapids, is making waves in the transfer market, according to recent reports shared by Tiago Brandão on Twitter.
Navarro’s impact on the field for the Colorado Rapids in 2024 has been significant, evident in his performance during this last Wednesday night at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park where he scored the lone goal for the Rapids from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage time. This goal marked his fourth successful penalty kick out of four attempts this season.

However, as Navarro’s loan spell with the Rapids approaches its end in June 2024, a decision looms large for the club’s front office. The Rapids have the option to purchase Navarro for $4.5 million, but negotiations are expected to take place to potentially lower this price tag.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Navarro’s strong performances have garnered significant interest from the Rapids’ management in retaining him beyond his loan spell. His consistent goal-scoring form, including seven goals this season and a recent streak of finding the back of the net in three consecutive matches, has only reinforced this interest.
Interview with Rafael Navarro
With the club occupying the sixth place in the standings in the Western Conference, it’s hard to see the Rapids passing on Rafael, who stuck through some tough moments last year, as the team faced adversity of the last place in the Conference amidst what was one of the Club’s worst seasons in Major League Soccer.
