Athletico is interested in signing the Brazilian athlete, forward for the Seattle Sounders
Seattle is already discussing a possible negotiation for the Brazilian to head back home. However, no formal proposal is on the table yet. Léo is interested in returning to Brazilian football.

Chu’s contract was initially set to expire in December of this year, but due to high demand for the player earlier in the season, the club triggered its automatic renewal clause, extending it until December 2025.

The MLS team, however, is only interested in negotiating the player in a definitive sale.
Other clubs are interested in Léo besides Athletico. Earlier this year, the player attracted interest from Fluminense, and negotiations reached more advanced stages. However, the Sounders demanded an amount considered high by the Rio de Janeiro club, and the deal did not go through.
In 2024, Léo lost some space in the Sounders, and has played in only 9 games and scored 1 goal.
