Flamengo/BRA is looking to replace the 31-year-old forward Bruno Henrique who in June had a multi-ligament injury to his right knee and should return in a period of 10 to 12 months.
According to the Brazilian journalist Raisa Simplicio from Goal.com, LAFC‘s striker Brian Rodriguez was offered by his agents to the current runner-up of Copa Libertadores, Flamengo from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Still according to Raisa’s report, the Brazilian club has not yet responded to Brian’s agents and a possible loan deal has not been ruled out.
This season, Brian Rodríguez appeared in just ten games of the 21 games this season, again hampered by a thigh injury. There were two goals scored and three assists during the period. The 22-year-old has not played since June 26 against the New York Red Bulls in MLS.
The lack of playing time hinders the international level. Rodríguez has not been called up under the command of Uruguay National Team new coach, Diego Alonso. With the arrival of Gareth Bale, the tendency is that the winger will find even less space in the LAFC attack, and a transfer would be good for both sides.
This is not the first Los Angeles FC player linked to the Brazilian side. In March, striker Diego Rossi, was close to finalize a deal with Flamengo but he ended up getting acquire by Fenerbahçe.
