Territorio MLS begins partnership with Nona FC da USL 2

𝕏 CompartilharFacebookWhatsApp

Territorio MLS is proud to announce and launch a partnership with Nona Football Club from USL 2. Territorio MLS will be responsible for broadcasting the club’s games in Portuguese. The games will be broadcast live with images on the Territorio MLS channel. Our website will also create content and information about club activities and informations.

Founded by Fábio Silva, Nona FC will take its first steps in semi-professional football in the United States on May 10th, when the team debuts in USL League Two, the country’s fourth tier, hosting Weston FC. Nona FC is in the Southeast Division, along with The Villages, FC Florida, Miami City, Florida Elite, Miami AC, Tampa Bay United and Weston FC.

Based in the city of Lake Nona, Florida, the club has beautiful structures and an academy that houses players of all ages. With ambitious plans for the future, Nona FC now enters the semi-pro circuit for the first time, as an integral part of USL 2.

The team’s coach is Brazilian Guilherme Henry, who knows the USL League Two well, from the time he was still a player.

USL 2 is part of the so-called “path-to-pro” created by the United Soccer League, which also organizes the USL Championship (second division) and USL League One (third).

In simpler words, the league is the first contact of many young players with professional football, since, in a period of almost three months, young players live a day to day of professionals, training, traveling and playing. Most athletes come from universities and use the vacation period to play at USL 2 and stay active. Others are pulled from the clubs’ own academies to join the squads.
